Answers 1:United States VISA INFORMATION PAGE 2:How do I get Brazillian work authorisation? Brazilian visas in one easy lesson! Guaranteed this will seem as clear as mud. Your promoter in Brazil should send you two "Powers of Attorney" - one in English and one in Portugese. These need to be notarised by a Notary Public in the presence of one of the travelling party (normally the tour manager). The Notary Public should be one recognised by the Brazilian Consulate (I can advise). When visiting the Notary Public the attendee needs to have their passport to prove identity. Cost is in the region of £100. Once the two documents have been notarised, they need to be legalised by the Brazilian Consulate. This takes two/three days and costs £16 per sheet. I can do this part for you. The two documents then need to be fed-ex'd to the promoter in Brazil who can then apply for official approval of the employment. Once approval has been granted, it is telexed through to the Consulate here and the visas can be applied for with completed application forms, passports and one photo each. Processing takes three days. Hope that is clear - if not do call. 3:Having paid for our U.S. visa in the U.S.A. why do we have to pay in the UK as well? When you apply in the U.S. for your visa, you are applying to the Department of Homeland Security for approval to work. That is a separate process to having the visas placed in your passports here in the U.K. (or other consulate). Once approval from the INS has been received, the U.S. Consulate you apply with has to decide whether they are willing to issue a visa. This incurs Embassy application fees, as well as our fees for helping with your application. n.b. Non-U.K. Passport holders may also incur additional fees, known as issuance or reciprocity fees. This means that your country charges U.S. Citizens for visas, or your passport type requires additional processing, and therefore you are charged. For details of these fees visit http://travel.state.gov/visa/reciprocity/index.htm 4:Why do we need to leave our passports with Embassies for visa issuance? For 99% of visas, the embassy places the visa in the passport, thus they require your passport. Here in the U.K., we have the largest volume of visas processed. As a result most Embassies request the passport at the time the application is lodged, and return the passport when visa the process is complete. This is not true of the Canadian or Australian procedures. 5:Why can you get renewal passports in one day but second and replacement passports take 3-5 days? We use the current passport to obtain renewal passports, having the original, allows the U.K.P.A. to confirm immediately, your right to a U.K. passport. In the absence of a passport, the U.K.P.A., have to do further checks, which takes 3-5 days.
6: What do I do if I am unhappy with the service? Please read the Complaints Form here 7: Do I need a visa to work in the UK? Generally, anyone who is a passport holder for one of the European Ecconomic Area Countries, has freedom of work and travel here. There are exceptions for some of those coutries that have recently joined the EEC. If you are not a EEA national, you will require a work permit (applied for in the U.K. by your potential employers) to perform in the U.K. even if you are not being paid in the U.K. Certain established festivals in the U.K. are exempted form Work Permit requirements You will only require an entry visa, in addition to your work permit, if your permit will be for longer than 6 months or you are from a country that usually requires British entry clearance. See this link to find out whether you need an entry visa. www.ukvisas.gov.uk 8:What charges do you make for these services? Please go to our Fees page
